Cafe resumes with new owners
An Ettalong cafe has resumed trading under new management.
Located at the entrance to Cinema Paradiso, Cafe Paradiso is positioned to capture cinema patrons before or after seeing a movie.
The cafe serves coffee and cake as well as meals for lunch and dinner. It is fully licensed.
Proprietors Di and John Houghton are Peninsula residents.
Di has lived in Umina Beach for 16 years.
They took over management of the cafe in July and although it was well decorated and appointed from the start, Di and John have added their own touch with more to come in the near future.
"We have added collectable model cars for interest and second hand books for sale or for reading while at the cafe," John said.
Di said: "We believe that we have the right approach, a positive outlook and good clean fresh food."
"We are the only restaurant in Ettalong with a view from the balcony," she said.
They currently have a development application before council for an external staircase and more prominent signage.
The cafe has a "movie deal" which includes a movie ticket with a main meal, coffee and cake for a reduced total price.
They have also introduced a new brand of coffee, which is freshly ground on site.
