Ideas for parents

Uniting Care Burnside and Umina Uniting Church will be running a course called "Ideas for Parents", for parents of primary school-aged children.

The course will be run on consecutive Thursdays from October 23 until November 20 from 10am until noon.

Child care will be available at no cost.

The group will discuss child development, building communication with children, increasing children's self esteem, making discipline work and helping children cope with change.

The group has already held two courses this year on the Peninsula: "Living With Teenagers" and "What Makes Toddlers Tick."

The course will be held at the Umina Uniting Church community centre, cnr Neptune St and Ocean Beach Rd, Umina.

Prospective participants are encouraged to book early.
