Mastery of computers
Students from St John The Baptist Primary School demonstrated their mastery of computer skills when they participated in the recent Australasian School Computer Skills Competition.
The best achievement came from one student who achieved a High Distinction Award.
The competition included tasks, which assessed students skills in using operating systems, common software, the internet, understanding networks and programming and system analysis.
The Australasian Schools Computer Skills Competition was run by the Education Testing Centre of the University of New South Wales.
"The competition is an excellent independent assessment of students' computer skills," said ETC geneal manager Dr Alan Bowen Jones.
"Schools and students also receive detailed diagnostic feedback from the competition.
