School takes part in research project
Umina Public School has participated in a Primary Research Project.
The project is a national science project with students from all over Australia competing.
Students are asked to answer 20 science based questions using the internet, atlases, dictionaries and other resource materials.
Students at Umina Public School scored above state average in all areas of the competition.
One student achieved 40 out of 40 while seven of 37 students participating achieved a high distinction (95% or above), nine students participating achieved a distinction (88% or above), eight students achieved a credit and nine students a merit.
