Family dance at community centre

A fund-raising family bush dance will be held by two local groups at 6.30pm next Saturday, August 16, at the Peninsula Community Centre.

The dance is being held jointly by the Woy Woy Judo Club and the Central Coast Bush Dance and Music Association.

Money raised by the judo club will help cover the cost of sending players to the Goodwill Games in Okayama, Japan.

Sydney bush band Currawong will play on the night.

The dance will be a family dance for adults and children aged 10 and over.

No experience is necessary, with all dances being walked through and called.

Tickets booked before the night are $10 per person, with proceeds going to the judo club.

Tickets bought at the door on the night will be $15 for adults and $10 for children, with door proceeds going to the bush dance and music association.

If the night is successful, the association will consider running regular family bush dances on the Peninsula.

Supper and refreshments will be provided.

For bookings, call Lindy Simmons on 4342 4121
