Woy Woy in Milligan feature

ABC Radio National broadcast a two-hour Spike Milligan feature called "I Told You I Was Ill" from 5pm on Christmas Day.

It was a celebration of the life of Spike Milligan, in the form of a tribute show held at the Melbourne Comedy Theatre in front of an audience of 1100.

Sketches were performed by comedians, music by "The Ugly Uncles" as well as historic recordings.

During the show, an extract was read from the Peninsula News Spike Milligan tribute pages, printed shortly after Milligan's death.

The extract mentioned how Milligan had made Woy Woy world famous.
