Fishing for charity
Woy Woy Combined Charities' Fishing Competition will be held on January 18 and 19 and the third weekends in February and March.
All profits will go to local Peninsula based charities.
The charities to benefit will be the Woy Woy Hospital Womens' Auxiliary and Child Abuse Prevention Society.
"These are small Peninsula-based charities frequently overlooked by the larger fund raisers," said organiser Mr David Jenkins.
Prizes consist of cash and fishing gear for the heaviest of species, plus a prize for a mystery weight which anyone can win.
There will be special prizes for best fish caught by women and children.
Entry fees are single $15, family $20, and children $5.
Entry tickets are available at Ettalong Bait and Tackle, Club Umina, Woy Woy Leagues Club, Woy Woy Bowling Club, Woy Woy Hotel as well as the Lions Park Boat Ramp from 5.30pm eoch Saturday and Sunday.
Weigh-ins start at 1.30pm each Sunday and close at 3pm sharp.
Food and drinks will be available each Sunday.
