School donates showbags to hospital

Woy Woy South Public School has donated more than 600 show bags to Central Coast Health for use in children's clinics.

The show bags with a total value of almost $3000 had themes, including Santa, Pirate and Fairy Princess.

Sick and injured children from across the Central Coast attend the clinics held at Gosford Hospital which include paediatric and fracture clinics.

The show bags were part of the school's annual spring fair.

The acting president of Woy Woy South P&C Association, Mr Ray McDonald, said the school was pleased to be able to support children from across the Central Coast.

"The children and teachers of the WWSPS saw this as a great opportunity to help the broader community.

"We hope it will help to make a difference for some children this Christmas and into next year", he said.

Woy Woy Public School's deputy principal Ms Jo Booth and captains Daniel Friend and Hannah Carle helped present the show bags to Ms Janet Wakefield, Nurse Unit manager of Central Coast Health's Clinics division.
