Australia Day dance organised
An Australia Day dance has been organised for Saturday, January 25, by the Central Coast Bush Music and Dance Association, with several Peninsula locals among the organisers.
The band Galimore will play authentic bush music, with all dances called and walked through.
Dance band organiser Ms Robyn Northwood, of Phegans Bay, said that the regular monthly bush dances were suitable for beginners as well as for those with some dancing experience.
The dance forms part of Gosford Council's Australia Day celebrations.
To pay tribute to Australia Day, dancers are invited to wear items of colonial costume.
The entry fee of $15 for adults includes an excellent supper.
Children under-13 are admitted free of charge.
The dance begins at 8pm and ends at midnight. It is held at East Gosford Progress Hall, on the corner of Wells St and Henry Parry Dr, East Gosford.
