Della Bosca plans to rebuild soon

Special Minister of State Mr John Della Bosca intends to rebuild his heritage-listed house at Taylor St, Woy Woy Bay, after the upper section was damaged by fire late in December.

The Dutch gable section of the roof had previously been the subject of council discussions on restoration options in April last year.

Council approved a plan to make alterations in order to restore the Dutch gables to what was believed to be a state closer to the original 1920s architecture.

The restored section is now fire-damaged and will have to be restored once more.

Mr Della Bosca said that he was thankful that no-one was injured in the fire and has thanked the emergency service personnel for their prompt response.
