CWA branch seeks sewing volunteers

The Woy Woy branch of the Country Women's Association is seeking sewing volunteers.

A team from the branch has been making sanitary kits for Days for Girls.

Days For Girls is a not-for-profit organisation that raises funds to make washable, reusable sanitary care kits.

These are distributed to girls and women in need.

CWA branch member Ms Kerry Butler, who is an avid sewer and patchworker, has headed the team which has made more than 200 sanitary kits in three months.

Ms Butler said she needed more sewing volunteers, with "a sewing machine and some time to spare".

"You don't have to be a CWA member to help."

For further information, give her a call on ?0412 501 767?.
