Visual art students have art camp during Vivid Festival
Brisbane Water Secondary College Year Nine Visual Art students have attended the Cockatoo Island/Wareamah Art Camp in Sydney over three days.
The camp coincided with the Vivid Festival.
Day one saw the students on trains and a ferry, exploring the island, having a Dark Past Tour, convict stories, lots of art making, and a movie night.
Students woke up on day two to capture the sunrise even in the freezing morning air.
After a hot breakfast, there was musical art, collaborative drawing games, a ferry to Circular Quay, walk to the Art Gallery of NSW, viewing the Archibald Prize exhibition, and after dinner the Vivid light displays.
After a hot breakfast on day three, the students packed their tents, took a ferry to Circular Quay, and visited the Museum of Contemporary Art.
