Tips about entering cooking competitions
The Umina Beach branch of the Country Women's Association has heard some tips about entering cooking competitions.
The branch hosted a "How To" day for members on Saturday, June 15.
CWA State Cookery Chairperson Ms Ellice Shrader and competition judge Ms Denise Horden provided advice "about all the ways in which you can make a prize winning entry".
"Audience members bought along their creations - cakes and biscuits, jams and pickles - to be critiqued so that improvements could be made," said branch publicity officer Ms Margy Logan.
