Everglades Minor Singles championship played
The Everglades Minor Singles Championship has been played, with John McInnes emerging the victor.
The final was contested on Wednesday, June 19, in pleasant winter afternoon weather.
"The competition ran over a four-week period with the result being determined by the first participant to reach 25 shots in each round," said Everglades Men's Bowls assistant secretary Mr Grant Ireland.
"After 29 ends, John McInnes (25) defeated Vince Chand (18).
"It was a splendid contest to watch with both players delivering some outstanding bowls.'
The final completed the Everglades Bowls calendar for the 2023-24 season.
The next tournament at the club will be the Major Singles which starts on Saturday, July 6.
