Charity event supports women facing domestic violence
A Charity Gala event will be held at Ettalong Bowling Club at 6:30pm on Saturday, July 13, to support women facing domestic violence and other hardships.
The event will be run by the Because We Care Boutique and will include a two-course meal, silent auctions, raffles and entertainment and dancing.
"This charity is in Glenning Valley and is part of the Iris Foundation, supporting women facing domestic violence or other hardships and adversity by helping them build resilience and improve their lives," said volunteer Ms Julie Watson.
"The Boutique, run by dedicated volunteers, provides suitable attire and accessories for women in the Hunter, Lake Macquarie, and Central Coast regions for re-entering the workforce, work experience, court appearances, important appointments and homelessness."
Tickets are $55 per person, available online at www.wbwn.org.au.
