Social enterprise celebrates four years

A social enterprise which started in Woy Woy as the pandemic was taking hold has celebrated four years of trading.

Rotary Brisbane Water president Mr Mitchell Gordon founded Central Coast Antiques and Collectables to help regional non-profit organisations, allocating a portion of earnings to a new charity each month.

Some of the organisations that have received financial support include Woy Woy Youth Cottage, Brisbane Water Youth Cottage, Brisbane Water Historical Society, Coast Shelter, Mary Mac's Place, RSPCA Central Coast Shelter, WIRES Central Coast, Westlakes Stroke Recovery Group, The Salvation Army Umina Beach Corps and Rotary Brisbane Water.

The shop relocated from Woy Woy to Gosford in 2021 and continues to trade there.

As well as making regular donations to Lifeline, Allawah House and Coast Shelter, the business offers a complementary home clearance service.
