Keep an eye on trees in intense heat
The Grow Urban Shade Trees group has reminded residents to keep an eye on the health of their trees, especially in intense heat.
"If you have had a tree planted for you by the GUST team, you will know how terrific the rainfall has been for its growth," said group member Ms Jen Wilder.
"However the start of summer hit us hard with high temperatures and less frequent rain which saw a few of the trees give up.
"If you are going to be away, please ask a friendly neighbour to water your tree in your absence.
