Group told of new rules for abandoned vehicles
The Bays Community Group has been advised of new rules for vehicles left on public land.
Central Coast Council has told the group that it will take action "if the vehicle is causing an obstruction or safety risk is unregistered, or is registered but unable to be legally driven, and left unattended in one place for more than 15 days".
It will also take action "if a vehicle is registered and left unattended in one place for more than 28 days".
Group president Ms Carolina Schuiling said no reply had been received from the council about action on a list of items to address road safety speed limit and other issues.
"However, traffic speed and vehicle counting devices were set up by Council in late November on Woy Woy Bay Rd and Phegans Bay Rd," she said.
"Also, a bitumen kerb was installed on Phegans Bay Rd uphill from the bus stop to address stormwater collection on the road."
