New principal named for Umina Beach school

The new principal for Umina Beach Public School has been named.

He is current deputy principal Mr Chad Tsakissiris.

"After an expression of interest process, a decision has been made by our Director of Educational Leadership that Mr Tsakissiris will lead this great school for 2021," said current principal Ms Lyn Davis.

Ms Davis leaves the school at the end of this year to take up a role with the Education Department's School Leadership Institute.

Ms Davis said Ms Sharlene Percival would step into the deputy principal role beside Ms Melissa Harrison.

"I know that the entire community will support the school executive into 2021," she said.

"I will transition into my head office position at the beginning of the school year.

"My heart will remain here at Umina Beach Public School.
