Umina Beach takes out local Deadly Awards
Umina Beach Public School has won both the teacher and student sections of the 2020 Brisbane Water Deadly Awards.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student and teacher excellence in the Brisbane Water Learning Community are recognised through the awards.
The Learning Community includes Woy Woy, Woy Woy South, Ettalong and Empire Bay Public Schools and both Umina and Woy Woy campuses of Brisbane Water Secondary College, as well as Umina Beach Public School.
Each school nominated a student who displayed excellencef in academic performance, cultural excellence, sporting excellence and attendance.
They also nominated a staff member who contributed to improving outcomes for the students. We proudly announce that Umina Beach Public School won both these awards.
