Two days left for annual Mary Mac's collection

Woy Woy shoppers have just two days to add their Christmas gifts to an annual collection for the Mary Mac's Place service for "anyone who is homeless, transient or needing a helping hand".

Gifts for men aged 25 and over are needed and can be donated at Deepwater Plaza shopping centre until Wednesday, December 16.

"This year we have been overwhelmed with gift donations for women and children, leaving little to no gifts for our male friends at Christmas," said Mary Mac's manager Ms Catherine Pantehis.

"The gift donations for men will ensure no one goes without receiving something special for Christmas at Mary Mac's Place."

Suggested donations include socks and underwear, chocolates and treats, bathroom packs, breakfast and tea and coffee gift packs.

A collection bin is located outside Kmart.

Deepwater Plaza centre manager Ms Marcelle Proper said: "Every year our shoppers and retailers are so generous in supporting our annual gift donation drive for Mary Mac's Place.

"We encourage anyone who can make a difference to participate."
