Life members asked to revert to annual membership

The Bays Community Group is asking its life members to "revert" to annual membership in an attempt to increase its income.

"Due to Covid, our income for 2020 has been significantly reduced," said group president Ms Gwynneth Weir.

"Life membership was introduced at a time when The Community Group needed to raise a significant amount of money for a specific project."

She said life members showed their generosity in taking our life membership.

However, the group no longer offer new life memberships.

'"And we do rely on income from the annual membership fees.

"Therefore, we are asking our life members if they would consider reverting to an annual membership, thus giving the community group the benefit of an annual membership fee of $20 per household."
