Sausage sizzle for International Women's Day
The Umina branch of the Country Women's Association of Australia celebrated the beginning of International Women's Day week by holding a sausage sizzle fundraiser at Umina on March 2.
"We were incredibly busy and sold over 240 sausage sandwiches and fried more than 10kg of onions," said branch publicity officer Ms Margaret Key.
"We discovered that loads of customers like mustard on sausages and so next year we will have considerably more mustard.
"We had great fun and we hope our customers did as well.
"Our cakes sold out and a favourite was the lemon and chocolate cupcakes
"As always, we welcome visitors and potential new members and details can be found on our social media.
"We are cheerful group which might explain how we sold so many sausages," Ms Key said.
