Cutting off her hair for charity
Woy Woy resident Ms Kylie Mar will be cutting off her half-metre long hair on Wednesday, March 13, to support the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
Ms Mar said she planned to donate her hair to Sustainable Salons, a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients.
She has arranged with a local hairdresser to cut the hair of people taking part in the fundraiser without charge.
She had also organised a raffle with $1000 worth of prizes donated by local businesses to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
"On the day we will have a cupcake sale and the raffle which is $2 to enter," Ms Mar said.
This will be the fourth time Ms Mar has cut her hair for charity.
She said she hopes to raise $860 through sponsorship.
"I don't have a hairdresser as I only cut my hair every three years for charity."
Ms Mar encouraged other people with hair longer than 20cm to consider donating it to Sustainable Salon.
