Freelancers to meet in Woy Woy

A national organisation that specialises in connecting freelancing creatives and the self-employed is holding a luncheon in Woy Woy this March.

Freelance Jungle was founded by Ms Rebekah Lambert in 2010 as a means to gauge the sentiments of other freelancers on how they felt about their work, particularly the socially-isolating aspect associated with working independently.

Since then it has grown into national community of freelancers who share their knowledge, skills and expertise and also socialise to end the isolation inherent with freelancing.

The Woy Woy Freelance Jungle will meet from 12:30pm at The Bayview Hotel on March 29.

"This is an informal networking event and the aim is not to throw your business cards like ninja stars or deliver the perfect patter.

"It's all about getting together with other sole operators and share a drink, meal and a laugh," said Ms Lambert.
