New furniture bought with money raised through fun run

Pretty Beach Public School Library has bought new furniture with money raised by the school's parents and carers group.

Principal Ms Deborah Callendar said the group organised a student fun run last year that raised over $9000 to enhance and modernise the library's learning spaces.

"A lot of time and effort went into researching Department of Education approved contractors and furniture options," she said.

"Students and staff instantly adored the new additions and the learning space has been revitalised to include flexible grouping, learning zones and comfortable trendy furniture to compliment the learning that occurs across the library.

"We are so grateful for the ongoing efforts of our Parents and Carers Group to make this a reality and this new acquisition truly reminds us of the great things we can do when we work together," said Ms Callendar.
