Fashion shop opens in Woy Woy
Labels Fashions of Umina have opened a shop in Deepwater Plaza, Woy Woy.
The new store commenced trading in early August and has a similar style, brands and decor that proved to be successful in Umina.
The Umina outlet has been trading for two years and in its first year was judged the best "new lifestyle fashions for all ages" store on the Peninsula at the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Business Awards and also at the Central Coast Business Awards.
They are currently competing in the state finals where they have been nominated as one of 10 to become the New South Wales Champion of Champions in their category.
The finals are being held in Sydney on September 19.
Having won the Central Coast competition, proprietors Alastair and Jacqueline Purkiss were encouraged to expand to a more expensive retail location while remaining on the Peninsula.
"This has already proven to be the right move," Jacqueline said.
"We are seeing many new customers here not seen at Umina and also some that we saw regularly at Umina," she said.
"We chose to come to Woy Woy because there was nothing around with the type of product that we carry.
"Our garments are more fashionable and we cater for a range from smart casual to semi formal.
"We hope that by adding more variety to the centre, we will help retain more business on the Peninsula.
"Feedback so far tells us that we are reasonably priced with many designer labels at affordable prices," she said.
