Patonga artists win Gosford prizes

Patonga artists Jocelyn Maughn and Robin Norling have won two major art awards in this year's Gosford Art Prizes.

The entries are on show at the Gosford Regional Art Gallery until Sunday, September 21.

Robin was awarded $4000 for his semi-abstract oil painting "Gymnasts".

Jocelyn was given her prize for "Traditional", which is a long horizontal landscape in watercolours, of a wharf in Patonga.

Jocelyn and Robin are co-owners and directors of the Patonga Bakehouse Gallery, and have been resident artists for the past three years.

They will be giving a talk about their paintings and painting in general on September 20 at the Gosford Regional Gallery at 11am.

Entry to the gallery and the talk is free.
