Youth course starts soon

A "Youth Speak" course is due to start soon.

It will be held at a private home in Woy Woy and run for six Monday evenings.

Throughout the year, courses are conducted by Youth Speak, and each have a slightly different format.

All are designed to help young people aged from 12 to become more confident when speaking in public.

People who can express themselves clearly and in a confident manner are more likely to find employment, according to the organisers.

"Youth Speak is the first rung on the ladder to successful communication, therefore leading to a positive attitude within and towards others," said coordinator Jan Cummings of Umina.
