They want your blood

The local blood service is seeking donations to keep up with demand, as blood reserves reach a critically low level.

Blood can be donated at Woy Woy Blood Service in Ocean Beach Rd.

The service is appealing to anyone aged between 16 and 70 and in good health to donate.

While accepting anyone in good health, those aged 16 and 17 need parental consent and those aged over 60 and donors for the first time need a letter from their general practitioner to verify that they are healthy.
