Party at rugby club

Woy Woy Rugby Club's annual Christmas party was held at the clubhouse and hailed a success by organisers.

The jumping castle got a workout and non-stop fun was the order of the day.

Santa's arrival had the place buzzing, they said.

Now is time to find those old joggers because pre-season training is about to start.

A few of the keener members have been seen down at the Police and Community Youth Club (PCYC), doing weights and fitness training.

The PCYC can be found at the end of Osborne Ave, Umina.

The much-looked-forward-to Patonga run is not far off either.

The Patonga run is an annual event where the participants run or amble from Ocean Beach Surf Club, up Mount Ettalong, along the scenic Patonga Dve through the national park down to Pearl Beach and then along the golden sands back to the starting point.

Anyone wanting to join the runners should telephone John Stokie on 4341 5181 for details.

The club requires junior players for this year's season.

New players need not have played rugby before, as coaching staff are on hand to pass on their knowledge.

For more information telephone Ray Gorrel on 4342 5358.

Any parents of prospective junior players who would like to become involved in the coaching or management of the teams should also contact Ray.
