Olympic flags for US hosts

Umina High School students will travel to the United States and Canada with Sydney 2000 Olympic flags as a gift to the schools that host them.

Member for Peats, Ms Marie Andrews, presented the flags to the Umina students.

The trip is organised through United States Cultural Exchange Australia, which sees about 1500 to 2000 Australian students travel to the United States and Canada each January.

The flags and other gifts will be presented to two schools that the Umina students will visit on their trip.

Those to make the trip include students Angela Armstrong, Kody Brenan, Krystal Chapman, Nicole Davidson, Ashley Duncan, Samantha Duncan, Derick Fenton, Sarah Hartley, Ryan Richardson-Hassett, Stacey Hendriks, Lachlan Kerr, Shontel McGoldrick, Martin McGrath, Matthew Newell, Christopher Newell, Erin Stebbing, Kristy Stebbing, Michael Strong, Jodie Swan and a number of parents and teachers.
