Grants available to support volunteers

Expressions of interest for Volunteer Grants of between $1000 to $5000 are open until Friday, September 15.

Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid said: "Each year, the Volunteer Grants provide funding to local volunteer organisations to support the work of their volunteers.

"Funding can be used to purchase eligible small equipment items, cover fuel costs, pay for the training of volunteers, or promote awareness of volunteering opportunities in the community".

He said local incorporated, not-for-profit, volunteer organisations were eligible and were encouraged to contact his office for an expression of interest form and grant guidelines.

"For the 2022-23 Volunteer Grants, the Federal Government was able to provide up to $66,224 to local volunteer organisations in Robertson".

"This year, I hope to have another successful grant round, supporting a range of volunteering organisations," Dr Reid said.

For information, contact Dr Reid's office on (02) 4322 2400 or email Gordon.Reid.MP@aph.gov.au.
