Central Coast 'Run for The Voice' ends at Ettalong

Ultra-marathon runner Mr Pat Farmer is running through the Central Coast on Monday, August 21, finishing at 4pm on the Ettalong foreshore.

The run is part of his round-Australia 14,400-kilometre Run for The Voice which will finish at Uluru in October.

Mr Farmer, the former Federal Liberal Member for the southern Sydney seat of Macarthur, in support for constitutional recognition of First Nations people and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament, according to Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid.

"As a proud Central Coast resident, Pat is passionate about improving the outcomes for First Nations' communities," said Dr Reid.

"This is why he supports constitutional recognition by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament."

Dr Gordon Reid MP, is encouraging community involvement: "Let's get behind Pat and give him the welcome he deserves.

"I look forward to a big welcome party on Ettalong foreshore and I am hoping as many people as possible can be a part of this historic run."

Dr Reid said locals could get involved by running with Pat as he travelled through the Central Coast.

For further information, call Dr Reid's office on 4322 2400 or email Gordon.Reid.MP@aph.gov.au
