Bowling club to hold annual meeting

Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club will hold its annual general meeting at 10am on Sunday, August 20.

Registrations will start at 9:30am, with copies of the annual report and drink tickets available.

"All committee positions are open and we are looking for nominations," said club secretary Mr Peter Springett.

"We are especially seeking nominations for secretary (full training and support given), chairman of match, publicity officer (including newspapers, Facebook and members email) and selectors' sub-committee."

Positions to be elected include president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer.

Committee members to be elected are bowls secretary, assistant bowls secretary, chairman of match and committeeman.

Sub-committee members to be elected include match sub-committee (two), selectors sub-committee (three), publicity, media, fundraising and sponsorship sub-committee (four), welfare officer's sub-committee (two), bowls coaches sub-committee (two), umpires sub-committee (two) and social sub-committee (one).

Anyone interested was encouraged to speak with the secretary or any of the other current committee members.
