Knitting blankets for charity
Residents of a local retirement village are making blankets for the charity Wrap with Love, for distribution to people suffering extreme cold around the world.
The Residents of Peninsula Village's Don Leggett House have formed a knitting group for the purpose.
"They come together every Monday morning and enjoy morning tea, plenty of conversation and laughs while knitting and sharing ideas," said chief executive Mr Shane Neaves.
"Any donations of wool would be greatly appreciated and can be left at Don Leggett House reception."
