Anzac Day services around the Peninsula

Commemorative services are set to take place around the Peninsula and nearby areas for Anzac Day on April 25.

The Woy Woy, Ettalong and Hardys Bay Sub-Branch of the Returned Services League will hold a dawn service from 5:15am at Memorial Park, Woy Woy.

It will start with a march from Woy Woy Railway Station to the Woy Woy Memorial Garden for the service at 5:30am.

Following the service, attendees are invited to a free breakfast at the Ettalong Diggers Club which takes place from 6am.

A wreath laying service will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the Ettalong waterfront at 8am.

Ettalong Diggers and the RSL Sub-Branch will also hold a morning service with a march from the Deepwater Plaza car park at 10am to the Woy Woy Memorial Garden for the service at 10:30am.

The club will also hold a luncheon following this service with live entertainment scheduled throughout the day from 12pm.

The club's courtesy bus will provide transport.

Bookings for both the luncheon and the courtesy bus are essential.

Ettalong Bowling Club will commence its Anzac Day service from 1pm at the club's flagpole.

Prior to the service, the club will be open from 8am with a free breakfast served between 9am and 10:45am.

Following the service, the club has also arranged free live music for patrons which will commence from 1:30pm.

Ettalong Bowling Club's courtesy bus will also be available for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Seating on the bus is limited so bookings are essential and can be made through the club.

The Patonga Beach Progress Association will hold a dawn service at the Patonga War Memorial from 5:30am, following which a free breakfast will be served at the Patonga Progress Hall for attendees.

Pearl Beach Progress Association will hold a memorial service at the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall from 10am.

A light morning tea will be served after then service and the association will be collecting donations for Legacy Australia, to provide financial assistance and support to the families of Defence Force personnel.

The Empire Bay Progress Association will hold a service from 11am at the Empire Bay Cenotaph on Sorrento Rd.

Hardys Bay Club will hold a commemorative service from 11am.

The club has also arranged for live entertainment from 1pm to 4pm.
