Charity run to include new event

The Bay to Bay Running Festival will return to Woy Woy in June with a new event added.

The festival sees participants all ages and abilities run from the Woy Woy waterfront as far as Central Coast Stadium in Gosford.

This year, a five-kilometre fun run-walk will be added to the usual two-kilometre Kids Run, the 12 kilometre fun run or the half marathon to raise funds for local charities.

Beneficiaries will be Camp Breakaway, The Hive and Central Coast Local Health District.

The festival is held annually and is run by the Terrigal Trotters, a social running and walking exercise group.

Entries are being accepted for the event which starts at 7am at Fishermen's Wharf Woy Woy on June 16.

Last year's festival raised $90,000 for charity and organiser Ms Jenny Baker said it was the Trotters' hope that this year's event will raise a new record figure.
