Creating a 'warmer softer environment'
Renovations being undertaken by a local aged care village will "create a warmer softer environment for our residents in care", according to its chief executive.
BlueWave Living's Mr Matt Downie said renovations at the village's Shores facility were "in full swing".
"New flooring for the dining area of The Shores is now down.
"New kitchenettes within Anzac and The Shores wings are currently going in.
"We will begin progressively working on some new flooring areas where the new vinyl is going down over the coming weeks as well.
"The new outdoor furniture and surrounds looks fantastic at The Shores in the courtyard and a new pizza oven is on its way to this space," he said.
Mr Downie said later stages of the renovation work would include new carpeting, flooring and furnishings in residents' rooms and public areas across the facility as a whole.
"While it is an exciting time, I am also aware it can be very disruptive.
"A lot of the work undertaken is preparation, before final finishes are then put down.
"Due to this preparation work, many areas can look a bit unfinished for a period of time," Mr Downie said.
