Surprised if they do anything
It is now almost 40 years since the flood in Brisbane Waters that caused many suburbs to be designated as flood prone and yet Gosford Council has done little to mitigate flood besides forcing residents to build to increasingly higher floor levels.
Dredging has not been carried out in the local waterways to improve water flow and channel depths since the 1960s.
Even with the safety issues related to the depth of the channel at Half Tide Rocks they stalled and then bungled the minor dredging undertaken.
I will be surprised if they do anything even with the draft estuary management plan forecasting such measures.
