People wanted
The Mission Australia Literacy and Numeracy Centre at Ettalong is seeking participants for its literacy and numeracy programs.
Co-ordinator Michael O'Rourke said the service was for people who wanted to improve their reading, writing or maths either for work or to help their children with schoolwork.
The courses deal with basic reading, writing and maths skills and are run for 12 hours a week Monday to Friday.
There are early week and end week times.
Michael O' Rourke said that people had come in aged from their late teens to grandparents all wanting to improve their skills.
"I've had mothers who want to help their children with school work and people looking to improve their job skills."
"If people know someone who might benefit, they should let them know," he said.
He said that the service took people at all levels of education.
"Every class is different. It is fluid," he said.
The course is an accredited course which can qualify students to find work.
The service is free, but to participate students must be registered with Centrelink
