School in rock eisteddfod

Ettalong Public School has entered the National Junior Rock Eisteddfod Challenge for the first time.

Involvement in the production provides students with increased opportunities to improve their communication, performance and teamwork skills enhancing their self-confidence and sense of value, according to principal Mr Bruce Donaldson.

It encouraged a healthy lifestyle and is aimed at reducing the growing issue of childhood obesity, he said.

The school is seeking sponsorship support from local businesses to assist in offsetting some of our anticipated costs.

Sponsors will have their name printed on the children's event shirts, which will have significant exposure around the Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle.
