Dole projects are funded

Three Work-for-the-Dole projects on the Peninsula have been successful in recent funding rounds.

Community Success has secured 30 places, some at Umina for its work experience project.

Participants gain valuable work experience in clerical, administration, computer and data entry, kitchen and servery duties, garden maintenance and lawn care, assisting in retirement villages, day care centres or schools, assisting with diversional therapy activities.

Community Success has also secured four places in the Woy Woy for the Peninsula News administration support project.

Participants provide publishing and clerical support to the editor and manager, including word processing and desktop publishing.

Wyong Workwise has secured 34 places including at Ettalong for the Wyong Workwise Schools project.

Participants provide support with painting, landscaping and minor carpentry repairs to various schools on the Central Coast.
