Youth Week events held

A number of events were be held on the Peninsula for Youth Week.

Umina PCYC held a dance party and breakdancing competition on Saturday, April 3, at Woy Woy Leagues Club.

There were also beach safety talks on Monday, March 29, Tuesday, March 30, and Wednesday, March 31, at Umina Beach.

The Office of Fair Trading held its "Revved Up" car buying seminar at Brisbane Water Secondary College, Woy Woy campus, on the Tuesday.

Guest speakers from the Office of Fair Trading, NSW Police and RTA were in attendance.

Speakers addressed issues such as where to buy a car, obtaining and managing finance, mechanical inspections, and the importance of running a REVS check .

NSW Police were on hand to talk about road safety, while representatives from RTA spoke about about how to obtain a licence.
