Bus shelter is painted

A bus shelter on the corner of Banyo Cl and Woy Woy Rd in Horsfield Bay has been painted with a mural of an underwater scene with pelicans and other creatures.

The shelter was painted by Jim Doe along with some of the local children as part of a community project for the children and to help prevent graffiti on the shelter.

It is among a number of local projects on the Peninsula which have included a mural featuring Dolphins on two Cityrail structures near the Rawson Rd Crossing, just south of Woy Woy station which were painted last November.

A bus shelter in Woy Woy Bay was painted with images of the area in 2000 in a similar project.
