Why did we vote?

Now that Gosford Council has, as one media report suggests, three managers - Peter Wilson, Laurie Maher and Peter Hale - the rest of the councillors are superfluous.

And whingers are out. After all, you can't have councillors spending all their energy on individuals, ratepayers that is.

One wonders why we voted at all, and with the State Government proposing to take away our rights to protest at obnoxious development, dictatorship is just around the comer.

The only thing that really holds them back a little is that the majority of people might wake up one day and kick them out of power.
