Restaurant to close

A restaurant in Ettalong is to close in May after more than two years in business.

Mr Brian Lizotte, owner of Lizotte's at Ettalong Beach Memorial Club, said he has reluctantly decided to remove his business from the club.

"My wife Jo and I deliberated over this decision.

"However, we feel it's time for us to take a well-earned break," Mr Lizotte said.

Two and a half years ago, the Lizottes opened the restaurant, their second, at Ettalong Beach Memorial Club to a packed audience.

One of Australia's most prominent promoters, Mr Michael Chugg, gave a speech and Diesel performed.

Over the time, the venue evolved into the Central Coast's premiere music venue known as "Live @ Lizotte's".

Over the past two years, Lizotte's has been host to many Australian and International music artists including Jimmy Barnes, Marcia Hines, Tony Joe White, Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges and Richard Clapton.

The club will continue with dinner shows.

Brian and Jo said they would now take some "time-out" with their children.

They will focus their energies on their existing restaurant Lizotte's on the Bay at Hardy's Bay RSL, before deciding on their future.
