Aboriginal committee

The Aboriginal Student Support and Parent Awareness (ASSPA) committee at Ettalong Public School held its first meeting of the year on Friday, March 21.

This is a new initiative at the school to support indigenous students.

Topics on the agenda included ASSPA funding and in-class tuition.

ASSPA is planning a lunch for Aboriginal parents and their children for Friday, April 2.

In-class tuition is expected to be in place in Term 2 if funding requirements are met.

The election of office bearers will take place at the next meeting.
