Woy Woy bowlers represent Coast
Woy Woy Bowling Club has won the right to represent the Central Coast in the Grade 3 State play-offs at Parramatta by winning the Zone 15 pennant flag.
Woy Woy Bowling Club publicity officer Mr Ken Poole said of the pennant flag victory: "The team led by their inspirational manager, Bruce Heard, played superbly in the heavy conditions and no single player stood out as the team claimed victory on all three rinks."
Chairman of selectors and rink skipper, Mr James Cook, said of the club's performance at the state play offs: "It was a very good learning experience on greens quicker than we're used to.
"The competition plays on those speeds all the time.
"The tactics needed for faster greens are different.
"When the greens slowed down on the third day, we became very competitive," Mr Poole said.
