Parents urged to keep sick children home

Parents from Pretty Beach Public School recently requested that a reminder be sent to all families about the importance of keeping at home children who show symptoms of illness.

As a result, information bulletins from NSW Health indicating symptoms of both SARS and Meningococcal were included with the school newsletter as well as information regarding incubation periods for more common diseases.

In the week prior to the recent holidays, the school had one case of measles and several of chicken pox reported.
